06About us
A glazing firm that would rather be judged on the paperwork.
No showroom theatre and no discount that expires at nine tonight. A surveyor, a works, seven fitting teams, and a written specification you can hold us to afterwards.
07What we are
A firm that makes and fits, rather than sells and subcontracts.
The difference shows up in the parts of a job you cannot see from a brochure: who turns up to measure, whether the person fitting your windows has ever met the person who quoted them, and who answers the phone in eighteen months when a hinge needs adjusting.
Because the works and the fitting teams are the same business, a survey mistake is our problem to absorb rather than an argument between two companies with your house in the middle. That single fact shapes how carefully the survey gets done.
It also means we will occasionally talk you out of something. A sound door that has dropped needs a hinge adjustment, not a replacement. A house with a bare loft will get more back from a hundred pounds of mineral wool than from triple glazing. Saying so costs us one sale and tends to earn the next one.

How a job
actually runs
Five stages · one team
01Survey
Somebody measures every opening
They check the lintel, the reveal depth and the sill condition, and photograph anything that will change the price. They are paid to measure rather than on commission — which is why they can afford to tell you the job is smaller than you thought.

02The quote
One page, one price, no expiry
Sizes, profile, glass make-up, hardware, the access method and the exact scope of making good. There is no better number available if you hesitate, and no manager to ring for a special rate.

03Making
Cut to your sizes
Frames cut, welded and cleaned to the surveyed dimensions, sealed units made to suit. Ten to fourteen working days is typical. You are given the week it will be ready, and told if that changes.

04Fitting
The same two people, start to finish
Old frames out, new frames packed and fixed to centres, sealed inside and out with low-modulus neutral-cure silicone, reveals made good. Dust sheets down, debris away with us.

05Sign-off
Checked against what we promised
Every opening tried for operation, seal and square against the original specification. Certificates and guarantee paperwork handed over. The job closes when you have signed the sheet.

What the guarantee
does and does not cover
Placeholder terms · see README
| Element | Cover | Notes |

| Installation | 10 years | Seals, fixings, weathertightness |
| Roofline | 10 years | Board, gutter and fixings |
| Adjustment visits | First 12 months | Included — some settling is normal |
| Accidental damage | Not covered | Breakage, impact, forced entry |
| Condensation on the room face | Not a fault | A ventilation and humidity issue |

Every figure in this table is a placeholder written to a plausible industry pattern. Guarantee terms are a contractual promise — replace this table with your actual terms, and only claim insurance-backed cover if a policy is genuinely in place.
Condensation, honestly
New windows do not cause condensation. They stop the draughts that were quietly removing the moisture your household already produced — cooking, washing, drying, breathing — and it now shows on the coldest surface in the room, which is the glass.
The fix is ventilation rather than glazing: use the trickle vents, run the extractor for longer, and stop drying washing on radiators. Misting between the panes is a different thing entirely — that is a failed unit, and it is covered.

Accreditations
Deliberately blankNothing is claimed here yet
This site does not display FENSA, CERTASS, TrustMark, Which? Trusted Trader or any insurance-backed guarantee badge, because none has been verified. If WGW holds a scheme membership, add the badge and the registration number here. If it does not, delete this section — displaying a scheme logo without membership is a criminal offence under consumer protection law, and customers do check.
Competent person
Replacement windows and doors are notifiable work. Confirm which scheme registers your installations, and put the registration number on the quote and the certificate.
Insurance
Public liability and employer's liability cover, with the sums insured stated. Give the actual figures rather than the phrase "fully insured", which means very little.
Deposit protection
If deposits are protected by a scheme or held in a client account, say which. If they are not protected, do not imply that they are.
08Where we work
Two bases, one hour out from each.
Every line in the guarantee table above is worth exactly as much as our willingness to drive back out and honour it. So we keep the map small enough that driving back out is never a debate.

—Next step
Start with the survey. Decide once you have read the spec.
No obligation, no pressure, and the quote does not expire. If it is not right for you, that is a perfectly acceptable outcome.
